Can I permanently modify a website (locally)?

    Is there some kind of firefox extension that will let me alter the way a website is displayed on my computer? For example I wanna remove the massive block of text from displaying every time I load a page.

    Im aware of greasemonkey, but Im not sure how to make my own scripts. Is there something more user friendly?
