So yeah, I wanna watch movies that I have on my computer in .avi format on my TV, and absolutly nothing I try makes the thing work on my damn dvd player. It always skips or jitters or w/e and if it doesnt, theres no sound. Toast is gay. Anyways, since I can't burn it I want to watch it directly, what cables do I need, if I can do it, to display whats on my ibook on my tv.

    Thanks

    Apple sells an adapter

"VGA, S-video and composite video outputVideo mirroring supports VGA video out to an external display or projector (requires included Apple VGA Video Adapter) and S-video and composite video out to a TV or VCR (requires optional Apple Video Adapter, sold separately)."

    Apple Video Adapter - $19.00

    K umm isn't this what I need?

    Apple AV Cable for iBook

Need to display to a TV through your iBook's AV port? This cable will allow you to connect your iBook to a large screen television.
