Can I hit my traps 3x a week, or is that too much?

Usually I only hit my traps real hard 1 day a week - but they still sorta suck, so would doing some light trap work M/F and hit them hard on Wednesday be straight, or too much stress on them?

I currently avoid deads because I always feel like they are too hard on my lower back :hs:

    I do rows though.

Hang cleans kick ass. I suck at the transition up from the ground so I like hangs. :bigthumb:

:werd: I can hang clean more then I can power clean cause I get all fucked up coming off the floor, but I've been working on it so it's getting better.

hangs are what caused all the growth in my traps

What can you do to get better off the floor? I do the lift to hang clean, then always feel like I'm stuck there, pause and then hang clean it.

    practice, practice and more practice....

Also, I happen to have the luxury of knowing a kid who is training for the olympics and I've had him coach me a few times and its helped. Try to make the movement as fluid as possible and have someone who knows what they are doing watch you and give ya verbal cues.

A belt wont fix bad form, and you shouldnt use a belt unless you are above 80% of your 1rm. Otherwise you are setting yourself up for a weak core.
