I've got a MBP, 2.16GHz Core Duo (only takes 2 GB max :wtc: ). Right now it has a single stick of 1 GB RAM, can I just buy any other 1 GB stick or should I just buy two 1GB sticks of the same stuff in Dual Channel?

Will it make a difference either way? Also does it matter if I go with something like crucial or this muskin that is on newegg? The crucial is only 5 dollars more so i might just get that.

    Thanks

    MBP supports 4Gb ram.

EDIT: O nm, its 32bit core duo. :o

Just make sure the RAM is same speed and you should be fine.

Yeah, just 2 GB here :wtc:. I think I might be selling this computer soon, my friend has a powerbook G4 (downgrade I know) that is perfectly fine but has a broken harddrive, apple wouldn't cover it because they said there was a scratch that looked like it was dropped. So he just bought a new MB, and I figured I could buy the old G4 and swap harddrives, asuming he gives me a good price.

Then i'd use that for a few months, and then sell that too and buy a new MBP.
