Can I find my Windows XP key in regedit?

    Had you or whoever installed XP followed the directions, there would be a label affixed to the side of your PC with the XP key.
    Here are two utilities that can display that key for you:

    The first tool is a simple one, it only shows the XP key. The second is a much more comprehensive system information tool, which can find a vast amount of data as well as the XP key. Among other things, if you have Office XP then you'll need the key for that as well; viewkeyxp won't find the Office key but Aida32 will.

    I have Belarc Advisor on my computer and when I open it up it shows all the keys for everything I have installed on my computer. Check it out, it should show you the key. Oh, it's free and you can get it online.
