I know I can setup a specific folder for all downloads to go to.

But can I set it up so that it prompts me to specifiy a download location for every file? I don't want everything going to my desktop, or everything going to my movie folder, etc etc....

I just want it to ask me where I want to save the file to... please tell me this is possible. :o

I havent been able to find out how to do that with Safari either. One of the reasons I started using Firefox more.

I'm not switching to firefox. I'm making this work with safari. Perhaps an applescript?

This is funny because I love all of my downloads going to my "Downloads" folder, then being able to sort the files later.

I guess I do a lot of downloading, and don't want to be bothered with extra prompts. Just download it!

So always download to the drive, then move over the other non-movie files..err i mean, other unknown files to your main HDD.

We all know you're downloading huge porn files. Just admit it at this point. lol

Isn't this the sort of thing you could make really slick with Automator? Have it watch your downloads folder, and for videos, move to a video folder, for photos, move to a photo folder, etc.

No, this doesn't answer your original question, but it would REALLY help keep downloads organized.
