my main concern is energy. am i not getting enough sugar? should i do some running before i begin?

i am afraid to take days off because i might be too lazy to go back.

you need days off, especially in the beginning. I didn't make ANY gains the first few months of working out because I thought I needed to lift EVERY DAY. as soon as I switched to a 3 day split my gains went through the roof

thats what my friend is telling me. is it possible for me to hit each muscle group once a week yet go 5-6 times a week?? because my concern is that if i stop i might be too lazy to go the next day.

I dunno I'm no expert. I also don't do the one-bodypart-per-day thing either.

Feeling down and having a depression is not the same thing though... Sports (especially running) has been shown to be as effective as antidepressant over a one year span, but to have greater effects on depression than antidepressant after a year. And that's not counting the fact that the side effects are negative for the antidepressants and positive for sports.

if you keep up that lifestyle you'll know whether it causes depression.
