Is there any chance you could show me a larger picture? I have to squint to see this one.

99% chance that it's steel cased.

the in is made out of a oxidized aluminum alloy. If you use a conventional can opener, it may destroy the can opener. Looks like you need to shoot it open.

    500 rds LOT No P187-04

I'm not 100% on 2 of the letters.

on one of the narrow ends it says
    P187
under that beneth the 8 is like an upside down U with lips

it also has L. C. B. which, as I understand it, is the factory

Well, it's clearly marked as Russian-made, therefore, likely to be steel case. Should come with what amounts to a very oversized can opener, or a key on it somewhere.

Btw, that can opener is good for more than just cans. Ask Panzer about his old car's fuel filter sometime... :mamoru:

I opened my old 5.45 cans with a dremel. Not sure how good of an idea that is with all the sparks and everything but you might want to give it a try. :hsugh:

you need to heat it up with an O/A torch and then cut it open with a plasma cutter ....

be sure to keep your head close to it so you can see what you are doing and make a straight cut.

    report back.

Nobody is going to know what it is, just open it. It's Russian so it's probably steel cased.
