I built a computer a few months ago. Unfortunately the Mobo is a POS and is not working. It is a Gigabyte and I hear the RMA process is terrible so, I plan on buying a new Mobo, and just selling the RMA one when It comes in.

So now I have to picka new Mobo, preferably something priced in the mid range

    My buils:

    CPU AMD|PH X4 9650 2.3G AM2+ 65N R

    MEM 2Gx2|MUSHKIN 996599 R

    HD 1T|WD 7K 32M SATA2 WD1001FALS %

I generally would recommend Gigabyte boards, I have used several and they have all been solid. Who are you RMAing through, Gigabyte themselves or the place you bought it from?

Bought it from newegg but I can't RMA it back to them because I no longer have the original packaging

Well, like I said, I like Gigabyte boards, but if you want something different I would stick with the big names ASUS and MSI. Then its just a matter of picking the one that meets your needs, number of USB ports, RAID or no RAID, Firewire or not, ect...
