Ok, the airport has been acting up lately.

It's fully up to date, I use interference robustness, but for some reason, the connection drops in and out every 20 seconds.

My neighbors may be using something that is preventing me from aquiring a signal, but is there ANYTHING I can do to maintain a normal signal?

I'm literally sitting 2 feet away from the airport, and it's still sometimes 2 out of 4, and then it dies out, and then comes back...download speeds are horrendus.

Any settings you can recommend I try?

    Thank OT

you might have some interference in the area (2.4ghz phone or microwave right next to it). unless the airport card plug came unplugged, i don't have much else to say

    Here are my current settings:

Channel: Automatic (should i set a specific channel?)
    Use Interference Robustness
    Multicast Rate: 11
    Transmitter Power 100%

And trying to post this, the connection just shit out

ok, I'm on Chanel 9, and things seem to be working well...

You'd THINK "auto channel" would select the best one in the event of interference.

But yeah, this is good for now, but who knows, it may shit out on me later :hs:

    nope, it's shitting out :sad2:

Don't tell me i have to constantly change the channels myself :(

isn't there any way to secure and lock a signal that rides above interference? How can theysell something that shits out if I fart in the wrong direction!?

Is this on a powerbook or ibook? Sometimes the antenna jack on the airport card comes loose causing little to no signal to get through. Its pretty obvious I know, but its happened to others before. Also make sure the Airport isn't next to any electronics.
