    Industry or not, it seems like there's no such thing as a cheap AK anymore. It's like the price of gas, it keeps rising and there's no sign of ever decreasing again.

    I'm glad I got mine while they were still $349. You couldn't find a new one at the last gun show for less than $499. No I'm not kidding. :rofl:

    AIM had them a few months ago for like $340 dunno if they still do. The one WASR I did buy new I got from them for $279 :hs:

    I bought a new WASR 2 last december I think, it was $210 and it cost $50 and an hour to convert it. :hs:

    I think his WASR2 was single stack (i think all are actually), and he used dremel to open up his gun to accept double stack 30round magazines. That explains the time portion of his investment, not sure where $50 came from.

    I remember when they were selling the unconverted single stacks for $179 and I laughed at them, now you can't even get close to a parts kit for $179 :wtc:

    single stacks didnt need to be 922 compliant since they couldnt take high cap mags.
