I can do it with my front leg...but it has 0 power in it. That guy is a freak.

Hell, my back kick doesn't have a lot of power in it. That motion I just can't do hard enough to hurt. You can't really get your hips into it, I guess its a pure leg kick? :dunno:

It goes up then comes back down. Its just a funky angle that comes over the gloves.

Uggg, I got a TKD guy at my gym that throws those all day long during drills. He had those cheap ass foam shin pads and almost put me out doing a basic drill. Dude's crazy flexible.

 I knew this thread would be about this guy before I opened it up. I watching the fight network the other day and there was a fight of this guy's on there, and he threw a few of these and the announcers kept talking about his kicks the whole match. Things are fucking weird... it like psychs you out into thinking it's coming one way, then spins around and cracks you in another

mine are so bad that they get deceptive. Mine look low, but carry over a little higher. They look exactly like the ugly ass kick that Herring laid Nog out with.

You kick as to trick the guy into thinking it's a low kick (the fake) ,then you readjust it so it aims to the head (the real). However, the "real" kick is not the same as high kick. If you look at the video, the "real" kick angles downward, like a whip.

THeres a lot of good slow motion shots in the first vid and the highlight ElectricJW posted. It almost looks like he is swinging a flail attached to his knee.

Yes the common name for this kick is the Brazilian Kick, regardless of its origins. The Brazilians call it the neck kick, and everyone else calls it the Brazilian Kick (even the Japanese). Mainly from Brazilian karatekas like Ademir Da Costa, then Francisco Filho, and more recently Glaube Feitosa.

You guys should watch more K-1!
