This is only my second time buying a computer so I rather get people who know what they're talking about. I had a dell but the processor fan just gave out so its time for a new computer.

Im not in the profession of computers or a gamer so I just want something relatively quick that can get me online, burn, with HDMI.

If your CPU hasn't crapped out on you you could just replace the heatsink/fan. You may also be able to upgrade your processor/fan.

Barebones are often a waste of money. It's really not that hard to mount the motherboard to the case. It's much nicer to be able to pick the parts you want. Most barebones come with shitty parts.

If all you want to do is get online you can probably do that just fine with your current computer.

thanks for the input and that link Jae

So should I go with another Dell? I dont want to fix the computer because I've had since 98.

Another quick question to add....is the 2x blu ray drive worth getting? I just saw it on Dell. I'm just lost as far as what to get..I still have a 20GB and running on 256MB of ram LOL

Another edit...I just like to say thanks again. Other forums have pricks who poke fun and add no help.

No don't go with another Dell and No Blueray isn't worth buying. If you're willing to build, build. You can even save money buy buying online and taking it to your local computer store and having them assemble it for you.
