Just ordered the nikon remote. Been meaning to for a while. When I do exposures on a tripod I will do a 5sec timer with the 1sec mirror lockup delay.

How do you guys do tripod shots? I'm hoping the remote is more convenient.

IR or wired remote? I had a knock off IR and it was shit. Ordered the wired one about 2 weeks ago and like it much better. Only issue is the cord isn't that long. Really only use it when doing self ports or night shots.
