when looking through the viewfinder, and lets say i crop something, the left side seems to show more after taking the image. ive tested it where i put the very edge of the view finder just to the right, or more, of a straight line, it does not show on the viewfinder, but after taking the picture, it shows. ive tested using a tripod to see if it was my hands, and it wasnt the case.

what can i do to fix this problem? should i send it to canon to get the problem fixed? does the canon warranty cover this? i bought my camera (20D) new 2 months ago.

    thanks

Only a few cameras show 100% coverage in the viewfinder, the 1VHS does, but most don't. They are usually like 95% coverage, so you need to do a test to see the exact coverage for yours. If you go to a upgraded body than not only would you get 100% or closer to it, but the viewfinder itself is bigger and brighter

    heres an example

lets say i crop with the viewfinder like this
    [IMG]

the result is this, with the parts on the left not shown on the viewfinder being show.

its unproportioned, the left side captures more than the right.

    what 99 error?
