4 second pause at the bottom to release the stretch reflex, .5-1 second pause at the top. They'll grow.

Squat heavy. You'll get big calves.

I believe if your toes are pointed outwards it works your inners and if they're pointed inwards it works your outers. Or is it the other way around? Shit I don't know. If your squat numbers are up to par your cavles shouldn't be too bad. Usually on my light squatting day I try to focus on my cavles a little bit as I'm coming up from the squat. I've seen noticeable growth since I've been doing squats.

I really like to focus on the baby cows during the seated calf raises. I start from the bottom, raise till my feet are parallel to the ground, then pop them up to full extension, then work the negative resistance down all the way. It hurts so bad / good it makes me look like I'm going through a sezuire.

Doesn't work for me. I stopped doing calf exercises for over a year and added a bunch of weight to my squat during that time, my calves shrunk slightly.

Box squats or try widening your stance?

ask that new dude with 24 inch calves, he's obviously doing something right

I'd say more-so body size than genetics. It's rare to see someone at over 250-270 lbs with skinny calves
