Calves on leg day

    Anyone else find it difficult to work calves on the same day?
    Unless its only seated calf raises, legs keep bucking on standing calf or calf presses on leg press machine.

    So who does it and who desn't do calves on leg day?

    if I'm doing a routine that has a leg day, I always fit calves in at the very end

    I do them on leg days, but only do seated calve raises. My calves get most of their work from the 12~15 miles that I run every week.

    I've never really had problems... cramping once in a while, but that's about it.

    i do calves on leg day, they are part of the legs really

    if i dont drink enuf water, i'll cramp up tho

    I do calves on leg day. Don't really have a problem.

    i do them on leg day at the end too. But my calves are kind of to big for the rest of me, former fatty FTL

    always have done them on leg day, usually first

    dude your calves are your best muscle, why not try and focus on another one?

    I've always had the same problem as timber, but i've never tried moving my sets around, i just neglected them instead. :o

    I do donkey calfs on the machine so it's not much of an issue

    Doesn't affect squats or leg press?

    They get enough attention when I run. I don't really need to work them. Then again I'm that 900lb calf raise guy :coold:

    Impressive. I haven't been able to work my calves in a while due to the way all the lifts require you to bend at the toe, but I used to be in the 650 range for calve sleds and such.

    I used to go to a university gym but too many faggot ass frat boy lifters...now I go to an awesome gym with a lot of diesel guys. Too bad there are no females though.
