I record my food on fitday.

Right now it has me at 2800 calories burned for the lifestyle and whatever other part they call it. Is this an accurate estimate? I'm active during the day walking around campus, up and down stairs with dog......

I always assumed it was more around 2000 daily, but if your walking around alot and not sitting on your ass for 8 hours 2800 could make sense.

I am not counting calories I may burn exclusively workout out or doing cardio.

    Thanks,

    Z

Maybe. Depends on your height, weight, body fat % and activity...

Sounds decent but it could vary according to a shitload of factors.

Your BMR is calculated on the basis that it's enough to keep you alive, if you spent the whole day in bed. I work in an office infront of a computer, drive to work etc so my actual rate is probably not much higher than my BMR, except on days when I excersize.

I find those sites often over estimate your requirements slightly, but regardless, unless you post your height, age and weight, 2800 sounds pretty realistic as a guess.
