    Cliffs:
The theory of caloric restriction (eat less, live longer) and its reverse of more food = shorter lifespan seems more complicated. The effect seems to be centered around protein, and specifically, the amino acid methionine. This AA seems to control the fertility-longevity balance in fruit flies. Other variables (carbs, fat, other protein) have no real effect.

    Seems pretty interesting stuff.
