There is a method to calculate bodyfat % using only the sizes of your neck and waist, does anyone know what the formula is or how to do it?

Accuracy isn't really a concern, I need to know what it is using this method.

What you are looking for is how the Military determines body fat %

It is the measurement of your waist MINUS the measurement of your neck. This total is applied to a chart that uses height as a gauge.

Okay I just measured myself, I have a 34 inch waist and 14 inch neck... so 34-14=20.

I'm 5'10" (70") tall so when I plugged myself in onto the chart i'm 21% bodyfat... when I get my BF% done with calipers i'm like 12% :wtf:.

I need to be 18% or less and according to this method i'm 21% which I know is wrong. I can very easily get my BF% to drop by somehow increasing the size of my neck which would dramatically effect the results.

I'm going to make a new thread asking how to increase the size of my neck (not traps).

That's what the measuring tape says. Why, is 14 inches big or small or what?

If you have a really huge neck, your BF% is going to be low using this method regardless of what you really are.

I wish my neck was thicker :hs:

I don't get how you have a 34" waist either especially after looking at those titties.
