What do you guys prefer watching an MMA event in and why? There are pros and cons to both, so I'm curious what all of you guys think....

Personally, I like the ring... IMO the cage makes way for fights like Couture/Silva where they can just clinch up against the fence and stall there... Ring kind of forces the issue

a raised platform and falling off counts as a loss.

I prefer ring but I don't like how easy it is to grab and hold the ropes and prevent a takedown.

ring, less advantage for wrestlers and easier for strikers to corner people

I liked PRIDE and their rules best... but I like the cage better than the ring. I get frustrated with the ring when the fight has to constantly be stopped and then restarted in the center when guys get tangled in the ropes.

Cage by far. I hate that people get tied up in the ropes to avoid getting taken down, or can jump out of the ropes and get a restart if they are getting into trouble.

The ring has no place in MMA as far as I'm concerned.

the only thing i like about the ring are all the crazy little azn's that jump up from ringside to hold the ropes and try to push the fighters back in once they start getting tangled up.
