I'm really enjoying the state of mma right now. Its a fringe sport that is seeing rapid growth and success that is forcing sports analysts and writers to at least dabble and create opinions regarding it. So far I haven't been impressed by anyone in the mass media attempting to show expertise in the sport. Mike wilbon from espn's pti spoke about Randy and said that he won't be impressed until Randy takes out rampage. Jim Rome admitted that he's a newcomer and a bit late to the mma bandwagon but gave props to the toughness of the mma fighter versus the boxer. But then he went all lame and tried to drop names of moves "the dreaded armbar" or "the guillotine" as things the boxer should fear. I how grassroots the sport still is that the cage has better analysts and fight breakdown than any mass media outlet.
