I was wondering if there was some kind of cable i could buy that hooks my stereo seakers to my computer or tv or something like that

my speakers just blew out so i was thinking of getting some kind of surround sound for my tv/dvd and just hooking them up to my computer as well

    thoughts? links?

    thx

You probably need a lead which is headphone jack (3.5mm stereo) -> 2x RCA (red & white) connectors.

Easy to get your hands on.

Or if your going with a new surround sound system you might be better off getting a soundcard that has an optical output, one cable instead of many.

    >>Here's what Radio Shack has<<

From experience, if you're running from a desktop computer to a stereo, you're going to need at least mid range quality wires. The RF interference generated by a PC will cause a lot of "humm" on cheap, poorly shielded cables.

Something pretty easy to find at your local Radio Shack, The Source, Circuit City, etc etc. A lot of times even Wal-Mart will have them in their electronics section.

I use an Airport Express to play my music on my stereo system.
