Woke me up as I was up until 3 working last night and slept on the couch. He comes in, we talk and shit, and in the middle of it, he notices on the end table my 26. "Is that a real gun??"

That happened to me once with one of those door-to-door steak delivery guys. I don't remember why but I had my P228 sitting on the end table. He said the same thing," is that a real gun?" When I said yeah, he goes "are you a cop or something?"

    Said that and "or military?"

I said "I can move that if you feel uncomfortable". He says "no no, it's fine. I just am against those guns that get across the border to the drug dealers. those are nasty. I am ok with guns, only way I ever shot one was when I was in the Marines"

    :hsugh:

I tried to think of a smartass remark, but fucker just woke me up. It was amusing nonetheless with his comments

  7. You should have asked him, in the most disturbing voice, if he's ever made love to a man.

I dont necessarily having them sitting everywhere though. But in my "office" room where my safe is, the safe is unlocked usually if I am home and shit is strewn about.

That's probably because he was making plans on stealing them.

I have shit laying around all over my house, but keep it outta sight when people come over for just that reason. People do strange things when they start seeing firearms.

Do you guys keep a gun on/around you typically when the stereotypical repair guy comes over? I do. There's been a rash of robberies and such lately around here from people posing as utility workers, etc. I live a long way off the main road, so if I see someone on my property that I don't know, I usually assume that they are up to something. Once I had a methhead husband and wife team come supposedly ask my girl if they could look for arrowheads in the fields..... She says she had never spoken to them, but I came up on a tractor to find the fuckers scouring about back on the farm. That was pretty strange. They left after they seen I had a gun on the tractor, and told them I was calling the cops.
