    Guys-

Is there a way to make the cable co. run cable from the main road .9 mi from my house to my house? There are 20 houses between here and there, but there is a half mile of NO houses.

Not really. Before I moved into my place now, I went around with a petition for Brighthouse to run the cable to my house along with to all the other houses. Over 250 people signed it. Took them 8 months to do anything. I moved out yesterday and when I was pulling out with my last load for the new place...there were two brighthouse trucks putting the cable in right across the street...

I'm sure they'll do it if you're willing to pay for it. But that's hardly worth the trouble.

They will do anything for the money.

I have heard of the phone company charging $20,000 for a 1-2 mile run. This was in rural northern Michigan.
