I'm not much of a studio guy, but an assignment is an assignment :dunno: this is just for class btw. I need to pick one of these to print out, so any CC would also be appreciated.

The actual assignment is for a Hannaford/Market Basket etc grocery store poster.

    30d - 24-70/2.8 & 100/2.8
2x alienbee 400 with cone reflectors - I had these turned down low, 1/16 iirc
    430ex off camera bounce
expodisk - I love this thing

    I think i prefer #9.

I don't like the ones with the cutting board in them for some reason... maybe the board too yellow and makes me think the white balance is off, even though that's just the color of the board.

The composite (#11) is kinda cool, but i don't think chopped cabbage is really that appealing to look at.

    3, 7, and 11

but if it was a lil more chopped up, zoomed in and a little more white.
Since the other two take up the entire frame w/ very little cutting board showing...

    maybe..

I agree with the other two guys.

Take #11 and zoom in on the 2nd and 3rd frames so the cabbage fills the frame.

and try and lower the contrast and bump up the fill light so you get more purple. Accentuate the color of the cabbage to make it more interesting.

still got that cutting board in the 3rd shot. and it's waaaay too dark and blurry.

You definitely need to redo your post work on that shot, and you might even need to reshoot it.

Focus on the vegetable, not the water droplets.

that's a lot of noise in the background. Maybe you need to bump down the ISO and bump up the power on your strobes.
