Just when you think that the Fobbits couldn't go any lower than pond scum, they prove you wrong. :ugh:

We were heavily involved in a major push in Sadr City before the cease fire. Every single mission resulted in IED detonations, small arms fire, mortars, RPGs, and/or harsh language. It didn't take long before the Fobbits in my Company realized that they could volunteer for just ONE mission and be virtually guaranteed to get a Combat Action Badge. Why deal with a whole year's worth of missions and risk, when all you have to do is endure one single mission and you get the pot of gold that you thought you would never be able to attain.

    Fucking pieces of shit. :madfawk:

    1) what is a fobbit
    2) i thought it was common knowledge that a CAB is worthless nowadays and means absolutely nothing.

Definition: A FOB dweller. A soldier that doesn't leave the FOB.

Alternate Definition: A soldier that holds a valid Combat Arms MOS, but who works the system in such a way as to ensure that he is never in a position to engage (or be engaged by) the enemy.

It holds a much higher value for those that don't have one than it does for those who do. But on another note, I will remember the engagement where I earned my CAB for the rest of my life.

They are various MOS's, but none of them are 21B.

    "You ain't shit...unless you're 21B!"

"Err...um...what does that make you if you are a 21B?"

I hope those one mission C.A.B. people get punched at the bar when they get back and tell their "war" stories. fuckers. I earned my cab, now I'm infantry qualified, abput to be S.F., time to get the C.I.B., but that will be a while, lots more training before I deploy again.

ok there killer, "about" is used in this instance to approximate my next hurdle, not to approximate time... obviously the awards ceremony to be handed the green beret and long tab are many months away, with multiple prerequisites to complete. (sfas, sere, language, mos training, robin sage)
i think you got me confused with those asshats that enlist as 18x with no prior service, and have a big fucking head about it and think theyre hot shit.

i am confident, but not stupid. i hope to be selected, i know my odds are 7 out of 10 according to the stratistics of those who attend s.o.p.c. but by no means am i disillusioned.

All I know is when a route is declared black, we're the ONLY ones authorized to travel down it. Nobody else uses that route until we clear it.
