    MOSINS of all things.

Mosins, that you would trip over if you went outside. Mosins that you could build fences out of.

    BUY NOW

M44's have been on any surplus sites for awhile now. I should have bought a laminated one when I had the chance. :(

I want to get an M44 and an actual Mosin 91 to go along with my 91/30.

I also want a Gewehr 98 to go with my Waffen K98 :o

AIM Surplus is out of them

J&G Sales no longer has hex recievers

I got a quote for a handpicked 91/30 at Family Firearms and Finishes for $135 for a hex and $145 for a pre-war stock hex. Granted he's handpicking them but the days of $60 rifles are probably passed.

last gun show i went too they were trying to get 145 for an M44 that had terrible wood, it appeared to have zero bluing on it, and the bayonet was literally clanking off the barrel. and it was forced matched to boot.

I highly doubt they're drying up due to availability/unavailability. There's probably warehouses full of 3 billion more, it's just that nobody really gives a shit about them right now. Most retailers are focused on buying and selling evil assault rifles and accessories, and most had firesales on their military surplus guns to fund other, more profitable purchases after the obama-mania started.

Once all these people get their share of evil baby killers, we'll see a re-emergence of cheap, evil commie killers.

Apparently you haven't tried buying one lately... they're selling like fucking hot cakes.
    They're amazingly popular right now.

As big as the Soviet Union was, and as many of these things as they made, they just can't last forever in these huge quantities.

I see old ads for G43s and M1s for under a C-note a pop and it makes me want to cry. Eventually the same thing will happen for all C&R rifles. Mosins went totally out of production in the Soviet Union by 1948.

Feel free to show me a Soviet Mosin with a 1949+ receiver.

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with the owner of http://www.familyfirearmsandfinishes.com/

He was telling me that M44s really are getting a little short-handed but that the rest of the price spikes and unavailability is solely due to Obama  he said everytime Obama says anything about guns everyone gets cleaned right out.

He is going to rummage around and find an ex-Dragoon 91/30 in a pre-war stock for me :x:

China made T53s in the 1950s.

Hungary, Poland, and Romania made Mosins late as well.

Finland continued to assemble Mosins from parts until the early '70s for reserve use.

So like I said, show me Soviet Mosins '49 + :mamoru:
