Anyone know where i can get a C++ compiler, just a program that allows me to write the source unlike visual C++. Just a program where i open, type up my code and hit run and it runs.

The GNU c++ compiler will do exactly what you are looking for. And it will do it free. :eek3:

Do you mean skip the compile step and just run like an interpreter? Search on google for C++ interpreters, as there are some available.

But, C++ is typically a compiled language. IDEs like visual studio and Bloodshed's DevC++ provide built-in code editors and buttons to execute your code which simply compiles the code and then runs the executable in one step.

Borland used to offer just a command line compiler from their web site. Don't know if that's what you are looking for.
