A&P C&C Vday shoot

    I just got my "strobist" kits from B&H and wanted to try it out. My first time shooting with remote flashes & setting up a scene...Tell me whatcha thinks. It's not greatness...but meh. :bigthumb:

    I like 1 and 3, in #2 the chocolate is OOF.

    #1 looks out of focus as well.

    parts look oof because your F stop is WAY to low to be shooting product shots.

    That shit needs to be F16+ in order to open up the DOF and get everything in focus.

    With the flash and a tripid, that should not be an issue...

    but your use of lighting and composition is really nice.

    Still learning the relationship between flash & f-stop. It's something I'm really weak at. This is literally the first time I've done this manual stuff, and it was just trial and error until it looked right on the LCD.

    Number 1 is the only one I really like, but mainly because of that focusing problem in the others. Composition is pretty good, as is lighting. Even if everything on the others were perfect, I'd still like the first one best.

    if you are using a strobist kit, are u using a 285hv? on the 285hv, use the dial calculator.
