    well, seeing as how you just looked up and took the picture, you could have got something to stand on and tried framing the shot so the main focus was on the light bulb, while the background (maybe a old window that's broken or other parts of the room that's decaying), would add to the mood of the picture.

    I would have shot it from a latter or chair with the widest lens I had showing the room, the bulb and ceiling. Though without seeing the room i guess I can't say for sure. I'm not hating the subject which I thing was great, just the shot you took of it. Looks like you walked in, took a pic and walked out.

    the room was very limited in what I could do it was very small and the ceiling that light was mounted to is about 10' high...I appreciate the tips I'm still trying to learn to think like a photographer :hs:
