    trying out some different b&W conversions. I kinda am liking the way this looks, but I figured I would post ehe for a bit of a reality check. This is not a true black and white. several curves, color balance and H/S and B/C layers

    the tone is fine but the image needs more deph of feld

    are you speaking soft as far as the PPing is concerned or like bloke is speaking of with the DoF?

    I know DoF is pretty shallow on this but eyes, nose and tongue appear to be in focus and sharp to me, but the sides of the face really are oof. I just snapped this quick of my kid so I could have something to work with

    I was thinking this also. toddlers has so little texture to begin with. I almost want to add noise to the face only just for a small bit of texture

    Their faces are so smooth its hard to tell if you airbrushed the crap out of it or just healed a couple of tiny spots.. you know?

    here is another attempt.

    I added more red into this one cause th toungue was a bit blowm, some subtle dodging and burning trying to add some depth by darkening the image a bit
