I think I got the exposure pretty dang good...
at first I was: that's a big ass tree
then I was: needs better framing,I'm so distracted. needs better white balance around the tree, but the tree itself looks fantastic!
I was back as far as I could without a tripod in the living room
Yeah I seriously always think white balance is an issue.
I think it would have been better from a different angle, or if you had moved some of the stuff out of the way. The flower vase under the stairs is really distracting, along with the sofa.
I hear you on the WB, indoors esspecially I always have to cool it down in LR when I shoot indoors
btw, you're g/f has a beautiful house! keep her for the inheritence
Yeah, if I spent more time I would definitely move the couch and try to get a little better angle - also probably turn off that hall light up stairs.
House is massive something like 5-6k square feet, acre of land, awesome backyard
where in FL? got to be down south somewhere, boca?
Negative, Tampa Bay area
really? didn't think they had enough land over that way for a 1 acre estate
Yeah it's pretty dang hard to find...Very rare actually.
I'm going with....lawyers?
I'd be interested to see more pics of the house
Yeah I'm going over there tomorrow to get night shots of their Christmas tree setup.
Here is a snapshot of their "family room".
Behind those chairs is another Christmas tree and a nice wine rack/table/fridge deal with two sitting chairs to the side followed by french doors leading into the piano room and then into the living room where the big tree is and the kitchen.
Not lawyers, I'm in law school though - they own a automotive painting supply company.
they got all that by selling paint, I'm in the wrong business
They make a pretty penny...
That in addition to their lake house up in NC.
View off the back porch
easy on the vignetting there chief.
I'm so jealous
I like the vignetting in that one actually
to each his own. a little harsh for me with the black trees all along the bottom and sides
This is the first Christmas in 5 years that my GF and I are not going up to the lake for skiing Oh well, we are going to CO in March
more pics of your gf/her sister?
Its quite yellow....you could neutralize that a little bit (shoot in raw?) and I would say its just a hair too dark.
tree looks really really good, rest of the picture sucks.
looks good, but that big blob of a couch/chair on the bottom right is highly distracting to me.
