I was wondering what software you guys have purchased for the Mac. I've always used pirated software for my PC, and the habit kind of carried over to the Mac, but it's a lot harder to do it on a Mac than on a PC

I'm thinking about buying Shapeshifter since it's the only kind of software in its class for the Mac. Otherwise, I'm wondering why people would shell out $20 or $30 for some FTP software when they can get it for free?

Transmit 3 was the last software that I purchased for my Mac.

It's funny. On my PC, I didnt have a problem pirating software. Didnt bother me at all to take whatever I wanted and not pay for it. Now that I have my new iBook, I am more inclined to actually purchase what I use.

is the software really worth it though?

also, does the $30 registration give you a license for LIFE, or just a year or so for the smaller programs like transmit and shapeshifter

because if it's for a year, then that's bullshit

the $30 covers you up until the next major release. upgrades version 2.x to version 3 are $17.95.

Worth it? Yes. Every penny if you update and build websites often. The rest you should probably try actually reading their site.
