Guys, my dad has hit some hard times and was going to take his guns to the pawn shop. I stepped up and told him I would buy them for fair prices... but I already have a shitload of guns. What would these guns be worth gently used? He is the kind of guy that buys a gun shoots it a few times and puts it up.

    1. HK USP .45 two ten rounders
    2. SKS that takes AK mags.. two 30 rnders
    3. Taurus .38 revolver
    4. S&W Sigma .40 two tone w/ 4 high caps and DeSantis leather
    5. Kahr P40 two tone
    6. Glock 23C w. 4 high caps and DeSantis leather

I really don't need all this extra hardware, but I'm not really sure what I should be asking. Also, where is a good place to sell guns online? Its kind of hard when you aren't a participating member on places like Glocktalk cause they think you are scamming.

Buy them, and keep them until he gets some money back...and sell them back to him.

Yeah that would be the good thing to do... but he is declaring bankruptcy and has to pay 1800 a month for 3 years. He is not going to be out of the hole for a looong time.

Depending on the model of the USP and if its in excellent condition $600ish+
SKS if its the D model that takes AK mags from the factory $275+ If not then depends on country of manafactuer, but the nonfactory conversions suck.
    Taurus, s&w, kahr :dunno:
    Glock $420ish

Couldn't talk you into parting with a couple of SIGMA mags, maybe?

I think 2000 for the lot woulld be a bargain. Could probably get 2200-2400 though. It all depends on how quickly he want the transactions to go.

Yeah thats the thing... I dont want to stretch this out forever. I always thought I would never sell a gun once I had it, but now I find myself wanting to simplify two one or two rifles, handguns, and at least one shotgun. I just don't have the time, and it makes no sense to me to let all that money sit in the safe.

Also, its been awhile since I did an internet transaction. I know I have to ship to an FFL, but how do I verify that it is a legit FFL? Should I pay one on my end to do the legwork?

Why don't you just help your dad out?

Think of all the years he supported you.

They have to send you or your shipping FFL a copy of thier FFL so you know they are legit. If you can get away with shipping directly to a FFL without using a FFL on your end, it's cheaper.

Because he makes over 80k a year and he is declaring bankruptcy. That is just fucking irresponsible. I had to buy a car for him 6 months ago.

No they don't. You don't have to get anything from them. Now, you SHOULD get their number to check on EZCHECK. But you dont HAVE to.

My ignorance may be coming out here, but I didn't think you needed an FFL for a face-to-face transaction. :dunno:
