never bought a suit before. I need interview type suit. so far I prefer navy blue with stripe.

I want something that will last a long time. I will have some money to spend but I don't want to kill my wallet either. My price range is 200-400. but I have more money is absolutely necessary, I'm just cheap but I need to look NICE.

bad part is size. Im 5-9 220 lbs with 38 inch waste, and short legs, like size 29 length pants. I am losing weight so I will want something that will fit me later down the road.

What are my options? Will I need custom tailoring on the pants? I don't want them to look sloppy at ankles i want it looking tight. Am I doomed what do i do?

No stripes. And you should at least be looking at the upper end of your price range.

don't spend too much if you're rapidly losing weight. check out a department store like macy's to see if they have any sales. or hit the outlet malls. find a good tailor...they will make the suit fit right. oh and make sure you don't cuff the pants. good luck.

oh and get a wool suit. no cotton or polyester...especially if you're doing something formal.
