I will be buying my first lap top ever. I am getting prepared to transfer to a University and I can't take the family computer with me. I am looking at Dells and HP's. Which one would be the better buy? Also, since Dell has those great deals when school starts back up again, should I wait and get a great deal from them? My limit is 700$.

If 700 is your budget, I would definately go with one of the dell school specials. You might even get lucky and get a pretty good deal

Laptop is one word... might need that tidbit on your journey of failing out of college.

$700 doesn't get you anything worth having... Just buy a desktop. 95% of kids with laptops in college never take them to class, and they get stolen from dorms.

    :werd:

you are better off with a desktop, I wouldn't want to touch a new laptop with a $700 price tag
