So my Canon SD300 got stolen from my suitcase when I was flying over the summer and I cannot put in a claim for electronic items.

Looking for another small P&S to carry around when I dont want to take the D70 around.

Looking at the Canon SD630 and the Canon SD700 IS.

Any reason why any of you would pick one over the other?

The 630 has a HUGE 3" LCD, no view finder and no IS but the 700 has a smaller LCD, view finder (I NEVER use it) and has IS. Those are the only real significant differences I can see between them. I think the 700 IS might havea bit more optical zoom as well.

I have never had IS on a P&S so I dont know if it really makes all the difference.

Which would you pick and why?

the is feature on the 700 adds alot of noise. I have the 630 and love it. except for the week flash. but oh well.

Why would the IS feature add noise. If anything, I figured it would reduce noise a lot since you could shoot at a higher shutter speed at a lower ISO.

Im really looking for opinions on the two cams I posted.

    Thanks

Did you miss the part where I am asking about only the 630 and 700 is?

I want something smaller than the s80 and have narrowed it down to those too.

I already havea d70 and other stuff for nice stuff.
