I went to a gym equipment shop here in Arizona and found a cage I liked. Good build quailty and features.

    Lamar LS 536 Power Cage

They were selling it for 599.00, cage only. The Lat pull down system is 319.99 dollars extra.

My question is, how would this system compare to this ebay system for sale here....? http://cgi.ebay.com/SMS-1007LD-Power-Cage-by-Phys-X-with-Extras_W0QQitemZ7176538996QQcategoryZ48848QQcmdZViewItem

The build quality of the Lamar power cage I saw today was very good, I am concerned this one on Ebay might not be to par.

The one on Ebay is a great price, also includes the lat pull down system and a bench all for 849.00 (free shipping)

Would you guys recomend this ebay cage system?
thanks. didn't want to make a wrong decision. :hsd:

buy a decent cage, both of those look like trash....if you want a cheap set up that will work for all home use check out www.newyorkbarbells.com ....if you want something a little higher quality look at elitefts.com or sarden

I recomend goign to arage sales for weight if you can wait for it. I need to start hunting for DBs and plates :bigthumb:

I would call and ask em if you could get the CC thing with the regular lat row crap cause the 200 pound stack SUCKS

Yeah...I got the basics at my home gym...squat rack,600lb weights, flat bench, olympic dumbbell handles, and a treadmill.I plan to finally get an incline bench, lat pulldown/low row,and GHR pretty soon.I usually work out between home and the college gym but I hate the college gym and commercial gyms in my area.

thats cause u cant, the EFTS racks are much nicer than the NYBB racks, but are not all in 1 gyms so you will have ot egt the low row and pulldown stuff seperately

I like it, I had a rust issue with one of the parts, and i called NYbarbells, and sent em pictures and they sent me a new part, the qakity on most of the parts is good considering price and where it is made. They have great shipping too.

There stuff really cant be compared to the EFTS product line, EFTS has extremely good quallity.

    one more question vettedude...

on the page with your power rack, the one on the right, I'm kinda interested in that because it seems like I can hook up a tricep ropes on each side and two people can work out there. True?

yeah, but like i said i would not egt the 200 pound stack, i would call and ask if you can get the regular lat thing with it where you put your own weight on it. But yes two people can use the cable crossover at once, not doing crossovers though.
