I test drove the z4M coupe and 335I last weekend.

Got me thinking to check out the used car market as well.

    Found a 02 MZ3 with 11.5K for 28K (315hp)
    Found a 03 M3 Cab with 26K for 33K

Or just wait for the New M3 with 420hp.

I would have drove off with the Z4M coupe last weekend but for 57K I think BMW is a little to proud of thier cars. I hit ebay and found Z4M coupes for 41-42K with miles as low as 451 all with in 100 miles of me.

On the price side it's a no brainer to do the MZ3 except that those were the years of rod bearing faluires.

    what do you guys think?

all of the cars you named are different in their own way and have pos/neg's as well.

personally i would go with the s54 m (was it a coupe or roadster). if it's a coupe, i'd choose that. if a roadster, i would go with the z4 m coupe.

however, if you need the extra space/seating, then the m3/335i would be better equipped to suite your needs.

all of them are fantasic cars.

Well No i don't need space because I have a Touareg already. I could have a pure sports car. I like the Z4M coupe over conv. But it would be nice to have 4 seater vert like the M3 Cab. And I rather not get the 335i because I would be modding the shit out of it and I rather have a car I can't do much to it because I rather spend money on my house.

BMW is justified in asking $57k for the Z4 M Roadster/Coupes. It runs 4 tenths slower than an M5/M6 at 4.9 seconds 0-60, and will easily wax similar offerings from Porsche, Honda, or any other company that thinks they have the brass to build a baller roadster.

335i rules the BMW lineup at the moment altho i prefer AWD over rear so the 328xi (altho i wouldnt buy the new 3 series cause IMO keyless start is pointless) is my personal fav far as oldies go i like the 2003 5 the 2003 3 the last generation X5 the X3 and the 2003 M5 and M3 (both coupe and convert)

I ended up pickup up a 2001 M3 Vert, with only 17.5K miles. Very happy with the car runs great.
