    First post here in WMD...so here goes;

    So far I am leaning towards the CZ 453 American. The quality of the stock is amazing and the action is so smooth, not to mention the incredible trigger pull. Has anyone had experience with these rifles?

    Any other suggestions for a decent quality .17HMR in the $300-$350 range?

    Savage 93R17s are really nice. I have one and love it.

    Does yours have "accutrigger"?

  5. I have a BSA on my airsoft sniper rifle. The quality is ok, I can't really complain for the price. It all depends on what you want to do with the gun. If you're just looking at plinking i'm sure the BSA is fine, but I wouldn't do any competitive shooting with it.

    +1 for the Savage 93R17. I bought myself one for my birthday and put the BSA sweet 17 scope on it. I haven't gotten the chance to use it on some squirrels yet but I'm sure it'll get the job done. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite guns to shoot.

    It does have the accutrigger on it which is nice and I've been able to get around 1.5" 5 shot groups at 100 yards with it.

    I did have some trouble finding rings to mount the scope to it, but once I found some that gave it proper clearance it was fine.

    Reading about the CZ 452, it sounds like a good rifle and I think it'd be nice to have the 10 rd magazine option. I've only been able to find 5 rounders for the Savage.

    I went to the gun store today and looked around at the BSA scopes, they were dope for the money but I think I found an even better company by the name of Konus.

    Also, I talked to a few guys at the store about the Savage and the CZ and they said the Savage was just as accurate. They said the CZ is nice as hell but in my case it's probably not worth the extra money, when the savage will do just fine.

    So it looks like I'm going with a Savage 93R17-GV and a Konus Pro 72553, all for under $300.

    Yea, they didn't seem nearly as nice as some of the other scopes at the store.

    Make a post about the gun when you get it. I'm leaning toward a .17 gun to buy myself at the end of january or so.

    I own one of the Savage 93's and I love it. It feels slightly off balance with the heavy barrel, but it's not that noticeable. I love the accurtrigger and the gun is extremely accurate. Next time I take it out to the range I'll try to take some pics to post on here.
