im thinkin about buyin my gf's mom flowers on vday and have them delivered to her work. i think itd make her like me more and see that im a nice carin person. i dont want her dad to get mad at me for doing this. i shouldnt get roses since they usually mean love or something... just a really nice bouqet of flowers with a note.

what should i put on the note? "to a special lady for all the hard work you od and for raising an amazing daughter. hope your valentine day is special ~the love of your daugthers life --my name"

i need some ideas for the note and how to end it instead of sayin love of your daughters life.. if u guys think thats stupid or cocky.

    thanks

How long have you dated her daughter?
How well do you know the mother?
    How old are you?

I'd say just write "Sincerely" rather than "the love of your daughter's life".

Agreed, the other might be a little "cheeseball" or something to her.

Cute idea and definitely no roses to intimidate or upset the dad. Just a nice, simple bouquet so she sees how nice, caring, and interested you are.

i ordered the flowers which are 1 dozen multicolored roses in a vase and a box of godiva truffles to be sent to her work with the note thats written above ending it in sincerely.

i've spent a lot of money this valentines day when i didnt want to.. shits so expensive..

yea roses are too much. Maybe some nice colorful flowers though, with just a simple message, nothing too complex

    Your call.
I think it's too much. Both price wise, and sheer amount.

holy shit you bought godiva, you are ftw. My bf and I are going the cheap route since we are not going to be able to see each other this year. We are going to wait till after valentines day to buy our stuff and get it like 75% off also we are both broke. so it works out best for both involved.

i got a call for the florist and he said that they might not be able deliver the flowers/bag of chocolates and bear to her class due to some rules with the school. anyone heard of such a thing? he said he will look into it tomorrow and tell me if he can or cannot do it. i was thinkin maybe ill just deliver it myself and suprise her on campus.. what do u guys think is better.

I have never heard of getting a delivery in a class so I am not suprised at all that the florist said they can't do it...

As far as her mom goes, I think you overdid it. I appreciate the sentiment and I think it would be nice to do something, but I think that sending flowers and chocolate to her work is wicked overboard. I think it would be much more appropriate and nicer if you bought a bouquet and brought them to her in person at her house in the evening.

my girl lives on campus and her mom lives far of away.. if i was to go to her house and drop them off or something i think that would be overboard. im just having chocolates and a bouquet delivered to her work tahts it.

i would jsut get her a thing of flowers & chocolates but don't send them to her job, thats too much. just bring them over when you go to see your gf or stop by to give them to her

My math professor had flowers delivered to her during class, was pretty sweet. ;)

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do it.
