    :wtc:

I changed the oil and polished her up real nice... and then to break in the oil I took her up to 170 mph just one last time on the ride home. :big grin:

I'm gonna miss this bike, it kicks so much ass. :(

I want to be able to ride for longer than an hour before I feel like I just got my ass beat by Mike Tyson. :hs: That and I've always wanted a CBR1100XX.

    Really? why?

the I-4 of the 1100xx has a lot of advantages. lots of power for crusing, better seat, more responsive to mods.......

is the RC51 more nimble in the corners or something?

What year rc51? I was thinking of selling my '98 cbr600 and getting a rc 51. How much did you get for it?

    '00, $5800

    I'm not getting a CBR1000RR. :hs: Unless he's talking about the CBR1100XX.

The V2 has better *tractable* power than an I4 does. That's why people says it feels more torquey, because it puts power down in a way that doesn't upset the rear tire... so you can put more power down coming out of turns.

I think all the different engine configurations have their merits. The RC51 is boat loads of character, more than any I-4 I've ever been on.

    :hs:

Yeah, guess I can't stay away from the bigger ones. The CBR1100XX is no slouch though, I'll be able to hold my own on it. :)

...and the bike just sold five minutes ago.

No, even the old XX was fine. I ran on the track with an old guy on an XX and he held his own Juuuuuuuuuuust fine. I'd ride one, though for asthetics I'd prefer the futura, maybe I'm biased ;)

I may take the XX out to the track sometime just for shits and giggles. :hs: But I just sold the RC51 because I won't be taking it to the track very often... just wanted a better street bike.

The Futura is a very nice bike too. :) But the Blackbird had been my dream bike when I had my old FJ1200, it's kinda cool that I'm gonna have one. I'll probably go pick it up tonight. It won't be *mine* until the 15th, but it'll be in my garage.

Yeah, right now all I can think about is breaking the record I set on the FJ1200 for "fastest ride to Auburn." :big grin: ...Auburn being about 45 minutes away at 70 mph on the interstate. I made it in 20 minutes on the FJ. I think I can cut that down to 15 minutes. haha

    Already tired of the SE-R?

I did a track day in mine a couple of weeks ago. It did quite well, would have done better if I had a couple small upgrades installed.

Yes, and we all know what happened to the FJ.
    Be careful out there :)
