what programs are you guys using to create your business cards? I'm guessing photoshop to be the most common? :dunno:

If so, what dimensions should I make the layer?

    Photoshop.

Size depends on what kind of card you are looking for. But make sure you are designing at a sufficient DPI.

    InDesign.

Standard size is 3.5in by 2in, though people do make custom sizes. 300dpi recommended.
