What's the difference? Doesn't eotech make the holosight for bushnell? You can get a used eotech for the price of new holosight.

  2. EOTech makes them. It's basically a standard EOTech without the brand name and without the protective hood. I'm not aware of any internal differences.

Bushnell actually designed and built the originals, Eotech took the design and made it .mil approved.

They are basically the same sight, as MG said, without the durability of the Eotech.

You save about $75-$80 over an Eotech as I've seen online.

Or you can buy my Eotech for the same price as a Bushnell or get it with a Larue mount for the same price as just the Eotech. :big grin:

If you don't have a real-deal EOTech then you will never be taken seriously by true high-speed, low-drag megaforce operators.

Bonus points if you have the NV button. Double secret bonus if you've actually used it.

Full Disclosure: I use an EOTech 552 w/ NV button. Yes I have used it to look through the reticle using NV, but haven't actually used NV while shooting. Also, not an operator.

ETA: Now, are style points awarded, or taken away for removing the gawdawful laser warning sticker?

Not quite. It's just a very very dim standard red reticle. If you are in a very dark room with night vision mode on, you can see it without the aid of night vision gear.

Running an IR reticle would require the installation of a separate laser.

The look of both mounted to upper and rail don't get any? ARFcom lied. :wtc: 557 does have IR reticle though.
