My friend got it by clicking a link from a message that came from a friend (the message was generated by the virus) so now computer shuts down by itself, when u search or click on any link that is related to antivirus, security or stuff like that it shuts off the firefox/explorer... and most of the programs don't work?

any OTer know about this virus and how to get rid of it?

Never heard of it, but your friend needs to do some standard pest cleaning.

Start with running a restore point, if he can.

How did your friend determine that he has a virus, and that
    it's called Bush-gracioso?

Does he have any antispyware/antivirus at all on his machine?

get the free version of AVG, install it, update it and run it. It should automatically delete the infected files.

In the short term, you can cancel the "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" shutdown by running "shutdown /a" through Start => Run.

I was thinking of something similar. He could run sc lock in case the malware
has added a service to his machine. That could help determine if he's dealing with
    a virus or a rootkit.
But I'd need to know some of the conditions of the pc in question. And people never seem to fill in the blanks without playing 20 questions.

lol sorry.. basically... all the antivirus is disabled...
then if we try to install an antivirus program through the firefox/explorer, it'll shut it down... then when he's using the computer, whatever he's workin on will shut down, and then his msn will start opening all these conversation windows and then close them, and all those ppl receive this message:

DON"T CLICK ON IT though it's a VIRUS

    "*** says:
    mira esta animacion de bush
    ***says:
    http://aniflash.100free.com/Bush-gracioso.exe"

so he got the virus by clickin on that... so far he can't use his itunes and bunch of other programs...

that's all i can say so far, so if u could help me, i'd greatly appreicate it..

like i said, when i go to that website and try to download the AVG, it automatically shuts down the explorer

Why don't you download a bunch of programs on your pc, then burn them to a disc so you can install them on his?

if it shuts his system down, download the file on another computer AND the most current reference file, then burn it to a cd and install it on the infected computer.

You can also try the Mcafee stinger. It's truly the only good thing they still make.
