Score another one for us. I like the way things seem to be headed, seems like a lot of the legislation has been in our favor lately.

no, it means that the parks will not override state or locality law.

DC bands handguns, so no carrying there.

this bill is good. But I don't like how more and more regulations are falling to the states. The states are just getting more strict. I wish the feds would come in and make a blanket ruiling on firearms and make them legal in all states, and standardize a shall-issue policy on ccw permits... And because it would then be at a fed-level, there would be reciprocity between all states.

I don't like giving the government more power and the further away that power is the less I like it.

I'd be happy to get rid of the AWB in NY.

:werd: I'd rather have some states strict, and some states lax than have all states strict from the federal level. It's the principle this country was founded on, and why the south seceded in the first place, not slavery.

If you read Lincoln's speech, you'd know what a lie that was from the very beginning.

What, which part? That the slavery reason was a lie, or the individual state's rights was a lie?

I was always under the understanding that the south mainly seceded due to not getting the individual state's rights that they wanted.

and since you can't conceal carry in state parks in my state, there's really nothing different here for me
