burning vcds?

    Ok i got a movie downloaded offline and im wondering how can i burn it to a cd-r in vcd formate. Is the any program that does it easy cuz the one i have takes for ever and when it gets to 98% it crashes i got a pretty ok comp over 1000 ram and 1.3 pros so what can i do to burn this to watch on my tv.

    I think Nero is the best for all types of burning. It'll do VCD, SVCD, Data, Audio, anything.

    get the nero demo and find a serial number off of the net and its free to keep.

    www.dvdrhelp.com can help you greatly. And MPGEnc can let you encode it at diff bitrates/formats/etc.

    I have used nero and it burns great. any suggestions on how to play it? i have tried it on my ps2 and no luck, and i have tried on my parents toshiba dvd player... no luck with either? any sugestions on stand alone dvd player by sony that can play vcds?

    is it an svcd or vcd? I know my cheap sony DVP-NS315 will play vcds, but not svcds..

    you need a player that will play the svcd format then.

    go here and find out which players play what.
    worse case senario you'll just have to watch it on your pc.
