How do I burn movies(avi files) into a dvdr that's playable in the dvd player?
I know how to make vcd but I wonder if there is a dvd equivalent so that it encodes the movie file to play.
    Is there any solution?
    I have nero ultra 6.0

I saw that the win xp movie maker had an option to burn on a cd. Would that work for dvd?

    Any help appreciated

I could have sworn I replied to a post almost exactly like this one...

Anyway, I've found that Winavi works really, really well. Converts it to DVD-Video format (video_ts folder) which you can then just burn onto a DVD in Nero.
