when you put the blank media in you get this dialog. then just like in windows you place files in the new folder and click the nuclear icon when you want to burn.

  4. omg thats sweet... how easy is it to do? pop in a dvd and wait awhile and then take it out and pop in a blank dvd?

  5. do I put in the movie... and then is there a program to download it... then put a blank in and put it on there?

OOOOO you want to back-up movies. that takes a couple progs to rip, compress and burn. I havent actually ever done that so someone else will have to help you there.

you need mac the ripper to bypass the security on said dvd. Once the dvd is extracted on your computer it will be in Video_TS format. You will then need a program such as Toast to burn the Video__TS folder to dvd. I know there are freeware programs that will do the same thing as Toast I just can't think of any off the top of my head :hsd:

toast is like the mac nero. so if you have the means to stumble accross nero, you can probably similarly find toast ;)

If you use Toast, you don't have to compress it first, it will do it for you if needed.

What he said. I have heard that Detox (DVD to One) is faster to compress than Toast though. But why have another program, when Toast will work just fine.
